Every Feburary In South Australia, Victor Harbor comes alive with the annual Coast 2 Coast Tuna competition. The Comp attracts around 85 boats and when you do the maths thats an average of 350 keen anglers chasing the prizes. Club Marine are the major sponsor of the event and have it for a few more years.
Team Justagirl has 2 boats in this comp, every crew member wants to fish so Legend Dean Forster from Stressfree Marine offers up his boat and his services as Skipper to get us all on the water. He has an absolute ball and wife Shauna says he sleeps for a week when he gets home .
Mayor of Victor Harbor Moira Jenkins is onboard again this year her second year in a row and managed to catch her first ever Tuna much to her delight.
Its always a great comp and Steve Powell and his crew have it organised and running like clock work. The competiton was fierce as was the off water activities I can guarantee you everyone has fun at these events.
Coast 2 Coast 2020 was filmed partly by Katie Edwards and edited by Skipp Tracey Tito. It was the last episode (6) of series one of Get Hooked with Team Justagirl and was broadcast on channel 44 and 31.
The premier of this episode was enjoyed by 100 Plus people at an event hosted by Wendy Perry from Switch Start Scale at the Woodville Town Hall. It was a time of celebration for those involved in the first ever Australian womens fishing show.
